Oatmeal with Raspberries

Sean goes through phases with different "skills" he learns where he will repeat that one skill/trick over and over for about a week (e.g., waving to his shadow). The skill in this video was the latest about two weeks ago, which coincided perfectly with our first efforts at pre-toddler discipline! If you have a minute and want a little chuckle, watch the video and you'll find out why--- luckily our "discipline" has taken and he has since left this gem of a skill behind, but not before we caught it on video!

One thing we are learning about disciplining an extremely cute and hilarious baby is that it is very very hard not to laugh sometimes when you are telling him "No"!

The Baby Faux-hawk

The latest in baby fashion--that and christmas themed pajama pants.

Just call me Crazy Eyes.

Really, no pictures please.

Why do my parents insist on doing these things to me? And then photographing it? And then publishing it on the internet?

Dreaming of Summer Days to Come...

SB and I took advantage of a beautiful 65 degree sunny evening on the deck tonight. Sean is ready for a trip to the Cottage...

a few months ago :)

Here are some cute pictures of the famous Sean smile from Thanksgiving that I finally uploaded. I think Eva is making him laugh :)

Breakfast Please!

Sean seems to be putting his new teeth (yes, we have a second tooth now :)) to the test lately:

He Drank Up All the Water, He Ate Up All the Soap...

... he tried to eat the bathtub, but it wouldn't fit down his throat! Do you remember that handclap jingle from elementary school? For some reason it got stuck in my head as we gave SB his bath last night...

and then he wonders how his tummy got this big!

More Skills

Sean is still working on crawling, but his prefer mode of transportation these days is walking with mom or dad.

Heard Around the House...

Cody: "Either Sean has a piece of glass imbedded in his gums, or he has a tooth."

Yea for SB's first tooth! SB is usually a happy, friendly wonderful baby. However, for the last few days he has been a bit of a grump. All of a sudden clingy to me and cody, whining when he is on his own, crying for no apparent reason... we were feeling so bad for him not knowing what is going on. Then, in the midst of his morning-whine cody located the culprit. after MONTHS of drooling and gnawing on everything in sight, we finally have a tooth!

Hi Aubrey Anne!

Aubrey Anne, who is usually just down the rod from us at the College of Charleston is off studying in the exotic Florianopolis, Brazil this semester and we miss her! We usually get to see AA at least once a week at church or for dinner, and can count on her for emergency babysitting relief or getting sean to sleep once in a while :). Last night as Jamie, Lisa, Cody and I were playing scrabble (cody won), we heard a little chime from Jamie's computer-- AA was "skyping" us! Now I know I'm young and supposed to know about these things, but I was amazed as anyone at talking over the computer with live video with AA in Brazil! We had a great time skyping with AA-- here are some shots from our end:
