Arrrr!

After our latest trip to the pediatric opthalmologist today, we have a pirate on our hands!  ARRRR!
If only Sean's eye patch were black and strapped around his head....I would put him in red striped pants and a bandana every day.  These days they have adhesive eye patches for kids, like a big bandaid--more practical I suppose, but far less intimidating.  Anyway, this is really nothing to worry about, the doctor said he was right on the border of needing patching because his right eye still looked a little weak, so we are going to try this out for a few months.  SB only has to wear the patch about 2 hours a day, and since our nanny, Bridget, is married to an opthalmologist at MUSC, he is in good hands during the day.  Today Bridget got him to keep it on for over an hour by telling him that Greta wanted to see it, and since "he'll do anything for Greta," that worked (for her part, Greta was extremely un-interested in seeing the patch when she got up from her nap).  When it was just me asking him to wear it, the patch came right off.  If anyone has any other ideas to help keep the patch on, i'm all ears.  Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
