He's Growing Up Too Fast...

Yes, I know all parents say that about their kids, but lately Sean's been putting some meaning behind it.  Besides bossing Jamesie all day long, saying "No, Sir!" and "no, no, mister," here are some things we've heard out of him lately:

1.  I heard the boys waking up in their room at GG and DaDa's the other day, and before I went in I listened at the door a minute and heard: "Jamesie, I am very dissapointed in you.  Your job right now is to lay in your bed and be asleep.  I am very dissapointed in you" Wonder where he got that phrase....

2. Sean spilled something at dinner the other night and Cody said, "Its O.K., you live and learn."  To which Sean said, "Yep.  You live and learn and die. Right?"

3.  The boys were helping Cody put away their toys the other day in the family room and I came down.  I asked Sean to put away all of the Go-Fish cards to which he told me Jamesie was doing that (Jamesie was no where in sight).  I said, "Oh, I'm sorry, did Daddy already give that job to Jamesie?"and he said, "No, I gave Jamesie that job."

4.  I left Sean on the couch with Sissy this afternoon while I went up to get Jamesie up from his nap (she was secure in the Boppy pillow!).  She started fussing a little bit, and I heard Sean say, "It's OK, it's OK, Seannie's here, Seannie has you, Sissy, Seannie has you."

5.  We all finished dinner the other night while Sean was still working on his, which meant he was at the table by himself, banished to silence until he was done eating the agreed upon amount of food.  All of a sudden he turned to us in the family room and asked, "How do we pay a bill?"  Really?  You're 4 years old, shouldn't you be thinking about something else?

And just as proof that he really is growing up too fast--here's Sean's first day of school pictures from last year and just yesterday (first day of school went great yesterday):

Yes, he's growing up, indeed. Imagine what it will be like when Jamesie starts talking back to him!
